Welcome to our blog! Since we launched Galyatech.com on June 14, we've been working very hard and want to let you know some of the progress that's been made.

We understand that early communication with the regulatory agencies is critical to developing a safe and effective drug as quickly as possible. That's why we've been working diligently to prepare a pre-preIND package detailing preclinical development of GALYA-1. At the pre-preIND interaction, the FDA will give us advice about our remaining preclinical studies, especially toxicology.

Another key to developing GALYA-1 as quickly as possible is making sure that manufacturing is moving forward on schedule. Even though preclinical studies remain to be completed, we've already started manufacturing the components of the non-pathogenic virus so we can start toxicology studies as soon as possible!

Where We've Been (USA)

This past August, Brian Chan flew out to the NNPDF Family Conference in Boston to share about Galyatech with families, researchers and doctors in the NPC community. It was great to meet a number of people face-to-face for the first time, and we are reminded of the many faces and hearts of NPC disease we seek to help.

Where We're Going Next (UK)

We're excited to let you know that this September, Andrew Wilkinson will fly across the pond (with his wife Jennifer) to share about Galyatech with families, researchers and doctors at the NPUK Family Conference. We will be there September 16-18 and will give a short presentation on Saturday morning. Come join us in person! We'd love to meet you face to face. :)

Then Where We're Going After That (China)

A lot has been happening! That's why we are also excited to announce that Andrew Wilkinson will fly over the other pond (with Jennifer) to share about Galyatech with families, researchers and doctors at the Chinese Niemann-Pick Disease Association (CNPDA) family conference. We will be in Beijing November 4-6 and will give a presentation on Saturday afternoon. For all the families in China and Asia, come join us in person! We really want to meet you face to face. :)

How did we decide to go to China? There is a large NPC community in China, and two of the Chinese NPC families came to the US to participate in the Vtesse VTS-270 clinical trial. Since they were coming to Los Angeles (where we're located), we met up with them and tried to make them feel welcome in a foreign land. The CNPDA reached out to us and asked us to come to China, and we're very glad to say yes!
